Hi. I play Trash in a crossover RPG with Silent Hill and other fandoms.
Hope it's ok to plug it here, because we could use more RoTLD characters, I'm all there is right now!

The dreaded first post - name's Tori, been a horror fan most of my life, love the first three ROTLD movies, the 4th and 5th haven't come out here yet, but from what I've heard I'm not expecting much. Just thought I'd drop past, say a big hello!

Return of The Living Dead 4 & 5 News! [16 Sep 2005|12:12pm]

Although both Return of the Living Dead sequels, Rave to the Grave and Necropolis don't appear to be going theatrical anymore, the official website has released two brand new posters from the film that airs on the Sci Fi Channel October 15th. In addition to the new posters, they've also released two brand spanking new trailers for the films. They still haven't removed the 'theatrical' wording, so maybe we'll still see it in a few theaters.

- From Bloody Disgusting

The Sci Fi channel shall be premiering the films October 15th. I’m such a zombie junkie I’ll be requesting that day off and sitting down to engage in four hours of complete brain devouring action.

Ah, what an awesome evening. [15 Aug 2005|11:49am]

[ mood | happy ]

I was rather amused that none applauded the Tarman when he appeared onscreen yet the dude who played him (Allen Trautman) was sitting a row behind me and Chynna. But they applauded when he got his head knocked off. *snerk*

The Q&A was fantastic too. They got nearly everyone from the leading cast, except for Chuck (the mod dude, John Philbin) because he's doing another movie and Trash (the one who made having Ronald McDonald hair and stripping in cemetaries hot, Linnea Quigley) due to a family emergency. Of course, Suicide isn't there due to his being dead (Set accident).

And here's what I learned from watching the movie and Q&A:

-Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (Spider) actually had a weave for his hairdo and Dan O'Bannon had to drive about and grab some codeine so that Spider could survive getting the weave long enough. And it was his first job. It's also the dude who played Juwanna Mann.
-Beverly Randolph (Tina) is still hot and remember when she was running up the stairs to get away from the Tarman? That scream she had when she fell through the trick step was totally real. Dan had trouble getting her to step through the fake step and had her go to makeup. When she was gone, Dan told the crew to keep it there. As soon as she crashed through, she was angry as hell when the scene finished.
-Jewel Shepard (the bitchy chick with the fauxhawk, Casey) met Dan at a strip joint and was offered the role of Trash but she turned it down. Amusingly enough, she said she would've taken clothes off for a role to keep them on.
-James Karen jokingly said "Am I the only one who's going to admit to sleeping with Dan for a role?"
-The bitchslap Don Calfa (Ernie) delivered to Spider was real. At first it was going to be one light slap but Miguel insisted on it being like a slap given to Whoopi in The Color Purple. So Don did just that. One slap on one side, and one on the other. And Miguel got pissed going "How could you slap a kid like that?!"
-Oddly enough, skeletons stopped being exported from India. You can thank or blame Dan for that one.
-Don says that the embalming business is indeed a family business, passed down to many generations.
-And Dan agrees that the sequels suck ass. He says they can try to imitate him but there's no way in Hell that you'll succeed.

The movie:
-Trioxin is bad for you. Side effects may include bruising, bad zombie pantomiming, orange tongues, body temperature dropping to room temperature, no reflexes, and generally not living not anymore.
-Bitchslapping solves everything.
-Tina has virtually no friends except for Spider and Scuz.
-Don't trust the Army, just start fighting or commit suicide.
-Lysol takes care of Trioxin.
-Disclaimers aren't really serious, just funny.
-Always count on the dude with a Members Only jacket.
-Sequels can be worse than bad. THEY CAN FUCKING BLOW

Sadly, I didn't get a chance for autographs since I faced being stranded due to the last train leaving at nearly 11:30 and was told that the last bus heading out to school would be gone at 11:00 and had to get going as a result.

Still, it would've been nice to get one picture with either Chynna or the cast.

Holy crap! The fandom's barely got a pulse! [01 Mar 2005|11:25pm]

[ mood | dorky ]

This fanfic focuses on Tina, but it is VERY odd. As in, there is a bit of a Crow crossover and she's back from the dead in spite of being vaporized in the nuclear blast. And the grammar and spelling could use some work. But at least it isn't a Canon Sue or totally out of character.

Just thought you guys would like to see.

Hello I'm new with a favor [14 Oct 2004|08:02am]

I'm an inker, I love zombie flicks, comics and art, and I've been having a hard time finding unfinished zombie art to practice on. I would love some help from anyone thats willing to give it. I'm looking for professional style pages not kid style art. As gory as you can find or as simple as you can find. I'll even post the finished work on here if everyone wants.

I'm currently trying to submit some stuff to a comic book company seeing as they are looking for artists and inkers, I'll let everyone know more if you want as well. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Requests of the Living Dead [15 Sep 2004|01:31pm]

[ mood | Peachy ]

Soon I shall be producing a ROTLD fan-film as a "demo reel" piece and for the entertainment of all fans of this truly wonderful film.

Anyways, what I need is to know if anyone has a copy of the shooting script for it on their computer. I need it for auditions and am a little to busy/lazy right now to transcribe it from the film. If you do, I would so love it if you could e-mail that bad boy to me.

New member... [06 Aug 2004|07:02pm]

[ mood | hyper ]

I first heard of ROTLD in Dead Man's Party (the Halloween one shot) in Blue Monday by Chynna Clugston-Major. I looked about in my digital cable TV Guide for a showing and the next showing was at 3:30 am. I got up early, turned on the lamp in the living room and tuned into Showtime Beyond and...

It was scary, funny, and damn, all the punks and inbetweens were dead GORGEOUS. Especially Trash and Tina. Even though they are taken with equally hot boyfriends. *pouts*

I'm now barely no longer afraid of the Tarman, Spider is now a hero among heros and this fandom is lucky enough NOT to have Mary Sues lurking around! But I must say Jesse was a better hero is Part 2...

Anyone know where I can find some GOOD fanfiction for the movie? And could someone also point toward the direction of some icons of any of the punks (Particularly of Freddy/Tina/Trash)? Any help will be accepted, thank you!

Return of the Living Dead Comics! [21 Jun 2004|09:16pm]

New community member here. Instead of writing entries for my LiveJournal, i draw a comic a day. It's sort of a visual journal of whatever's been going on in my life. Anyhow, today i watched Return of the Living Dead for the first time ever, and i drew a little comic about it. I thought folks here would be interested.

Collapse )

...there you go. Oddly enough, i'm kind of insanely proud of this comic- everything about it came out just as i pictured it in my head.

If you like what you see, you can check out the rest of my stuff on my journal and add it to your Friends list! I do one of these a day, every day (give or take on the weekends).
